This elegant Chelsea restaurant offers up refined and inventive comfort food. In lesser hands, this would be a paradox, but the kitchen at Strata make gorgeous dishes deeply rooted in food you usually associate with warm family memories. Their “Tray of the Day” is several gourmet dishes served up in a ceramic TV Dinner tray. The menu may be loaded with old standards, but even the mac&cheese (w/ fontina cheese, porcini mushrooms, and black truffles!) is a rare treat. On the weekends, Strata transforms into a cutting edge lounge with some of the best DJs in the city filling the place with some strong beats.
