Reports that the bowling alley/ cocktail lounge’s long anticipated opening have finally come. According to a June 28 posting on The Brooklyn Bowl website, “The good news is, we’ve decided on our open date, and it’s very, very close.” Not yet convinced? Well, an article in the Times reported it was opening this week…proof enough.
The sixteen lane Brooklyn Bowl, which will reportedly open this week is an eco-friendly bowling alley. This is yet another addition to Brooklyn’s ever-present recreational drinking facilities such as McCarren Park Pool and Barcade.
Just in case all that sport isn’t enough down right fun, the Brooklyn Bowl will also feature a music stage; rock shows and open jam sessions are in store for the renovated iron factory. Too much bowling and not enough drinking? Not a problem. Take a rest break in either the cocktail bar, bowlers lounge, or restaruant-which will be serving blue ribbon comfort food.
Let’s see if this place is a strike.
