It looks like the sun is actually making an appearance, so we can all start pretending it’s summer for five minutes and enjoy these places to beat the heat…or in our case, stay out of the rain.

West Village
Jane Ballroom
Jane Hotel
113 Jane Street, at West Street
(212) 924-6700
www.thejanenyc.com

The Jane Ballroom is impressively adorned with antique area rugs, old fashioned wing chairs, a grand fireplace, and enormous velvet-draped windows. Décor aside, the drinks menu has some pretty fun concoctions, specialty cocktails like the Hedwig and the Punjab are among a few of them.

Park Slope
High Dive
243 Fifth Avenue, near Carroll Street
Park Slope, Brooklyn

High Dive has an incredibly large interior, a craft-heavy beer roster, and walls that are covered in late-nineties band posters. If this is all to stifling for you, scoot on out to the back patio for some air.

Park Slope
Sharlene's Bar
353 Flatbush Avenue, near Calrton Avenue
Park Slope, Brooklyn
(347) 350-8225

No T.V, no frills. This is the perfect place for a casual hangout with your friends. Come in for a relaxing night with a cold beer.

Asoria
Vikingo’s Dungeon
35-55 33rd Street, near 36th Avenue
Asoria, Queens
(718) 383-3000

This place is exactly what the name on the marquee indicates. A faux-castle exterior leads way to  a medieval-like theme indoors. Quesadillas are a favorite at this place. So if you are in the Knight mood, definitely stop by for a fun time.
