If you're a true vegan that loves nightlife, you know the struggle. We're not talking about that category of people that call themselves "vegan" for two weeks because they're on a cayenne pepper and lemon water cleanse. We're talking those of you drunk-surfing Barnivore to verify if you're cocktail is gelatin-free.
Glory: you can finally ditch your vegan booze app this Saturday at the Second Annual Better Booze Festival held at Webster Hall. From 12-3:30PM in the Grand Ballroom, an array of vegan-friendly vendors will be displaying the best of "better" beer, wine, and liquor, all 100% vegan approved. While you're sipping on honey-free lager, you can feel free to munch on a selection of refreshments provided by vegan food vendors. This will be an afternoon to let loose before happy hour with games, activities, and entertainment.
While you're basking in vegan heaven, you'll be supporting an awesome charity.10% of funds will be profiting Charity: Water, a non-profit organization determined to bring clean water to millions in developing nations. Even if you're not ready to give up steak, this event is a great way to finish that forgotten New Year's resolution (remember that thing called a promise you made at midnight) to support a charity without even realizing it. At least you can confidently drink beer that hasn't been processed in isinglass, the stuff made from fish bladders. We apologize if we've officially ruined beer for you #sorrynotsorry.
