Barry's Boot Camp: Jog, run, sprint, incline, squat, lift, crunch. You will hear all these words (too many times) at Barry's Boot Camp, and more. You might hate your instructor while you're there (just kidding) but the payoff will be great. Out of all the exercise classes in the city, this has to be one of the best, funnest, yet toughest. Each day of the week targets a different body part, in conjuction with some hardcore cardio. Prepare to get sweaty, burn calories, and wake up sore the next morning. Nothing is more exhilarating than the rush of endorphins and by the end of this one hour class, you will be grinning ear to ear for pushing yourself. Boot camp couldn't have described it any better.
Core Fusion: If you're looking to lengthen and tone your body, than Core Fusion is your go-to class. Using the barre, this class combines core work with Pilates, yoga, ballet and dance principles that will make you sweat. Prepare to do more squats than you thought possible, push-ups and planks, and exercises you've never even heard of before. This class will firm up your whole body and make you as flexible as a teenager.
Soul Cycle: Like many spin classes, this one is non-stop cardio action for 45 minutes. Using special shoes that attach to the pedals, you won't find your foot slipping out at inopportune times like in other classes. But don't think you are only pedalling in this class. With dim lights and club music to keep you amped, you will use weights and movements to work your arms, shoulders, and abs as you ride.
