The highly anticpated Black Tie Rave on Feb. 28 featuring Swedish House Mafia on their 'One Last Tour' has already proved to be hugely successful. The first round of tickets were auctioned off in December and with under a third of the tickets sold, an incredible amount of $437,000 was raised for the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City and Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund in support of hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
If you missed out on the previous auctions, you're in luck. SHM has just announced a final auction will take place this Thursday, Feb.14 at 10am EST on Ticketmaster. The new batch of tickets sold will benefit Save The Children, the world’s leading independent organization for children, who will join the national dialogue on gun control, the provision and availability of mental health services, and violence in society in the wake of the school massacre in Newtown, Connecticut.
“During the process of planning the Black Tie Rave, the Newton tragedy happened and we decided that as we had already raised more money than we had hoped for, that we would add Save The Children to the list of charities who will benefit from this event. Their work helping children who have suffered violence of all kinds is incredible and it felt right to bring them into what fundraising efforts we can achieve through this tour,” said Swedish House Mafia.
Starting bid is $100.00 per ticket and fans can purchase a minimum of 2 tickets and maximum of 4 tickets. In addition anyone on the guest list for the U.S. tour will be asked to donate and optional $10.00 at the door for Save The Children.
It’s also confirmed that Pete Tong will fly in to support Swedish House Mafia at this special event along side Carl Kennedy. The lineup announcement for the North American leg of 'One Last Tour' as well as the lineup for Masquerade Motel boasts a massive mix of producers to support the Swedes on their last and most extensive tour as a group.
