Hang-ten at Bondi Road, a super affordable seafood eatery, where the surfer vibe focuses on fresh fish and lots of booze. Take a seat at the tall bar tables and let the sounds of the surf sink in while gazing at the photo murals of Sydney's most scenic beaches. Your server will glide over with glasses containing cloth-napkin-rolled place settings and a paper menu you’re meant to fill out with a pencil. For $15, you pick a fish- varieties include Tasmanian sea bass, New Zealand “groper,” and barramundi. You then pick a cooking method- either grilled, breaded, or fried, and your choice of sides. We recommend the beer-battered barramundi with skinny chips or fat “potato scallops,” and the silver surfer- a vanilla vodka, peach, and lychee juice concoction.
